Cyber City in Vilnius

In 2022, the IT company Tesonet plans to complete a project to create a cyber city for the company's employees in the old textile factory. The main idea of the project is to build their own campus, where Tesonet could accommodate their employees and unite the local IT community, startups, and tech companies.
Cyber City will have three buildings, each of which will be different in size and shape to create a city feeling when walking around. Inside the buildings, there will be several areas for people to have regular meetings, focus in quiet spaces, play games, and socialize. There will also be large kitchen-cafe areas for having lunch, working in a different setting, or simply relaxing. All buildings will have sports areas with showers and lockers to provide full infrastructure. In the parking lot, apart from car spaces, there will be secure areas for alternative transport – bicycles, scooters, etc. There’ll also be spots to charge electric vehicles.
The center of Cyber City is designed to resemble a lively downtown area, busy with events, food trucks, and other activities during the warmer seasons. This area used to be the territory of Sparta, a textile factory founded here in 1963 and moved to a more efficient facility for their operations in 2019. This part of the city allows for spacious, ambitious urban projects, as well as provides generous options for moving around and reaching any other part of Vilnius easily. Currently, the developers are structuring the underground area with monoliths and poles. Cyber City plans to welcome its first citizens in autumn 2022. The total estimate is around 50 million euros. Part of the funding comes from project shareholders, whereas the rest is a loan from the bank.
